Admission Procedure

Admission is based on an All-India Entrance test (AISSEE)

Or

Through school-administered Entrance examinations, comprising Maths, GK. Science & Social Studies, Language and Intelligence for CLASS VI, AGE – 10 To 12 yrs.

Route :I

Admissions are as per Sainik School Society / NTA Norms. Students who have applied to the AISSEE online at exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE, can take admission through the counseling process.

Route :II

Students who wish to prepare for AISSEE, they may join our Pre Sainik Batches. School will ensure their preparation for AISSEE. These students may join Sainik School Vertical through NSS 60% route of AISSEE.

 

Eligibility criteria for Sainik School Etawah:

Age Limit:
  • Boys and girls aged between 10 and 12 years are eligible for admission to Class VI.
  • For Class IX admission,
    the age limit is 13 to 15 years as of July 31st of the admission year.
Educational Qualifications:

Candidates should have passed Class V for Class VI admission and Class VIII for Class IX admission from a recognized school.

Note: – Overage /underage candidates will not be eligible for admission.

Age Proof Certificates:-
(a) Date of Birth indicated in the TC issued by the previous school if already studying.
(b) Original Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Committee/ Board / Corporation Block, maintained in their Birth Register.
(c) Serving personnel of the Armed Forces will be required to produce a certified copy of the extract of the Part II order in support of the date of birth of their Son/ward. In the case of children born after the individual’s release /retirement from service, the provisions of subparagraphs (a) & (b) above will apply.

Admission Process at Sainik School Etawah

The admission process for Sainik School Etawah consists of two crucial steps:

Entrance Examination

The first step is to clear the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). This highly competitive examination is held annually and evaluates candidates in subjects like Mathematics, English, General Knowledge, and Intelligence. The AISSEE score is a determining factor for selection.

Interview and Medical Examination

Candidates who successfully clear the AISSEE are invited for an interview and a comprehensive medical examination. The interview assesses the candidate’s personality and potential, while the medical examination ensures fitness for the rigorous routine at the school.

Financial Aspects

Sainik School Etawah aims to make quality education accessible. The fees are generally affordable, ranging from Rs. 88,000 (Day scholar) to Rs. 1,54,000 (hostler) per annum. Additionally, scholarships and financial aid may be available to deserving candidates.

Joining Instructions for Admission 

Joining instructions are issued only to boys and girls who are finally selected for admission to the School. The joining instructions contain the following documents which are required to be completed/submitted at the time of admission.

  • Income Certificate.
  • Agreement Bond.
  • Parent’s Address Form.
  • Leaving Certificate from the last School.
  • Domicile Certificate, Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate etc.
  • AWS (if)

DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE ALLOTTED SAINIK SCHOOL
Seat allotment through AISSAC-2024 will not vest any right on the candidate to secure admission into the Sainik Schools. The admission in Sainik Schools through AISSAC-2024 is provisional and shall be considered as confirmed only after the successful completion of Medical cum Physical Verification of the students at the school.

At the time of verification, each selected candidate will have to produce all relevant certificates, as prescribed by the Sainik Schools Society. Parents/Candidates are advised to apply for TC from the parent school only after the verification of documents and confirmation of admission by the respective Sainik Schools. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Sainik Schools Society shall be final and binding on the candidates.

Candidates are also required to bring original documents along with one set of self-attested hard copies of these documents.

Any Other Documents: – The schools are responsible for the validation of the documents. Schools should form committee/s for the verification of documents produced by candidates. Besides, the school is having full rights to ask for any document/s required in support of the above documents and the same are required to be produced by the Parents/Candidates within the stipulated timeline. Payment of Fees & Other expenditure: – It is the responsibility of allotted Sainik Schools to intimate candidates about their Fee structure and other expenditure after the declaration of seat allotment results. Affidavits/Undertakings: – List of the affidavits/Undertakings along with formats to be provided by the concerned schools to the candidates. Note for schools: – 1.  Certificate  issued  through  Digi  locker  shall  be  accepted  by  the  school  after verification.   2. If the original documents are not in English/Hindi, duly certified English/Hindi version/translation of such documents shall be submitted by the candidates.
